Cllr Chris Whately-Smith has joined AIMs, a very active group who are associated with Abbots in Transition. They work to improve village gardens and open spaces and encourage local people to help.

The volunteers have been making impressive improvements to Abbots Langley Centre restoring and planting up the centre of Abbots Langley.  Chris said , “Our first Hunton Bridge project was to clear out and plant up the old horse trough on the A41 by the Shell garage. I have had a few people say they would like to help with other projects. What I am intrigued about is the inscription. Who was the Mrs Copeland who gifted the trough?”

AIMs are seeking VOLUNTEERS to join them, so please let them know if you are interested. You do not need any particular skills just a love of Abbots Langley and a desire to help improve our village in small ways. Contact Laila Namdarkham on 07855 677601 to set up a Hunton Bridge section.
