Q: Please give us more information about this issue.
A: Can you please get the street lights to remain on! The number of burglaries happening in my neighbourhood is quite frankly shocking and dangerous! It is only a matter of time before someone will get hurt! i personally know 7 houses that have been burgled in our area including mine. Yet, no one has been caught and in 2 of those cases the burglars have entered the house when the family is inside!
The street lighting would not stop these burglaries but most certainly be a deterrent! PLEASE TAKE ACTION NOW, BEFORE IT’S TO LATE!

Q: Please give us more information about this issue.
    A: Hi,

I have emailed Watford council about putting a bin in the area around Nicolas Close. I am constantly picking up dog foul as people throw the full bags into my hedges.

I emailed the council, and after TWO MONTHS they said nothing can be done as litter was minimal. This is an absolute lie. North Watford regularly has fly tipping issues and general rubbish problems. I chased the Environmental Team at the council multiple times over two months and they said they conducted a ‘survey’ and litter was minimal-despite no survey results were displayed or dates of when this so called survey took place. Its inconceivable to me that the Nicolas Close Square, where off the top of my head 20 houses who all pay the c.£1800 council tax fee annually cannot be afforded the ‘luxury’ of a litter bin & dog foul bin- that is roughly £36,000 every year and they cannot assist in making Watford a cleaner place to live. I would love some assistance on this matter…currently there is no bin remotely close and the problem will just get worse down the line.

A: So many pot holes are appearing on our roads at the moment. These holes are damaging cars and throwing big lumps of grit, stone and concrete into the road!

Q: Please give us more information about this issue.
A: please stop the local council from wasting money, puting a pedestrian crossing that cost big money
at kings langley station, i am at the station twice a day morning and night. very very few people use
the crossing and why put speed bumps down near the station. the speeding cars and bikes start at the bottom of toms lane and head towards hemel hempstead why not put a camera along this stretch so not only do we have to drive down pot holesbut also have to have our cars repaired because of damage by speed bumps that cannot be seen at night

A: There is a big pot hole in Mildred Avenue, towards Park Avenue end, each time I drive home that way my tyres are being damaged & no doubt everyone else’s too.
Also, there is a problem on High Elm Road all along near entrance to school & along stretch of that road, which needs resurfacing or filling.

A: The paving slabs particularly on my street (Berceau Walk) and between Berceau and the roundabout by McColls, are really unacceptable. I know I trip on them constantly, so I’d hate to think about how all my elderly neighbours cope. My grandma who used to live on the street used to walk in the road rather than on the pavement in order to avoid them. What is being done to improve them?
