Going to hospital is stressful enough.
But a trip to Watford General Hospital can be made so much worse because of the state of the car park! When most of us head to Watford General we’ve got enough on our minds without having to worry about queuing to get into the car park or finding a space.
There’s been lots of good news for our hospital recently. The NHS have committed to the future of Watford General and plan to develop and expand the hospital.
The new road to the Hospital has also opened, cutting ambulance response times and making it easier for staff, patients and visitors to get there from across South West Herts.
So we can now look forward to some real improvements.
But now we’ve got our new road, we need a new car park!
Watford General’s car park simply isn’t fit for purpose. It’s too small, poorly surfaced and is on asteep slope.
Now we’ve had a commitment from the NHS to improve the hospital, I think it’s the right time to build a new car park, closer to the hospital with more spaces.
The Lib Dems have started a petition so we can show NHS managers the strength of feeling locally.
