Work is progressing well on two state-of-the-art playgrounds which will be opening this spring.
The two play areas, in North and West Watford will feature modern, exciting equipment which will provide more adventurous play for older children. New investment These two playgrounds are the last two in the borough to be brought up to standard. When they open in April, they will offer a new play experience which children across the whole town can enjoy.
Watford Borough Council are investing £1.4m in the two sites, which will make them some of the best play areas in the area. Cllr Karen Collett said, "Making Watford a family friendly town has always been a priority for the Liberal Democrats."
"Over the past few years we’ve invested in our town’s parks and playgrounds and the £1.4m redevelopment of the Harebreaks and Harwoods play areas will provide adventurous and exciting play opportunities for children from all over our town. ‘We’re also putting on an exciting programme of play activities for the school holidays."
