Following recent calls on residents in Sandringham and neighbouring roads its clear that many are concerned that the 20mph zone for the area is not working as well as it should.

Residents report dangerous speeding and jumping of the junctions of Windsor and Osborne Road with near misers and some “ damage only“ hits!

Whilst speeding is the irresponsibility of the Police the county council could put further measures in place. One suggestion could be “road humps” but these are normally unpopular with residents when they outside their houses due to extra noise.

The other suggestions which could slow traffic down and make these junctions safer would be to have “junction tables” at the Windsor and Osborne Junction and if residents wanted them at the Parkgate junction (although speeding appears to be a lesser problem in this section). What are your views?

Is speeding an issue along Sandringham road?
