Southern Rail have axed all services on the Milton Keynes to Clapham Junction route, which serves WatfordJunction.
Thousands of residents use the service to get to South and West London, connect at Clapham for Gatwick Airport or travel northbound to Hemel Hempstead and Milton Keynes.
Mayor Dorothy Thornhill has written to Southern Rail outlining the importance of the service for Watford residents and asking them to reconsider.
Dorothy said, "At a time when the escalator works at Euston are already having a big impact on rail passengers, this route provided an alternative for commuters to the south and west of London. Cutting every single Southern train on this route will hit Watford commuters hard. I'm lobbying for the service to be reinstated immediately."
