Courtlands Petition

Jeanette Aron and your Nascot Lib Dem councillors are backing residents’ demands for safety measures at the dangerous Courtlands Drive/Hempstead Road Junction.

This is by far the most controversial junction in Nascot, if not Watford. Additional traffic from the new developments is making a bad situation worse. Enough is enough. It is unacceptable that county officers have refused to do anything to improve this junction.

We demand a solution, a number of accidents have occurred when drivers have taken their life in their hands whilst trying to exit right from Courtlands Drive or turning right from Hempstead Road.

It’s a miracle that no-one has been killed. Jeanette is constantly being asked by residents about when something will be done. If you agree please sign the petition below.

We, the undersigned, urge Hertfordshire County Council to consider and improve safety here such as by installing traffic lights or a mini-roundabout on the Hempstead Road at its junction with Courtland’s Drive or other measures to improve traffic flows and safety.

The Grove and Warner Bros could maybe put something back into the community not only to make the route safer but there is the cost of repairs to these roads which now have increased traffic to consider. A bit of good PR would make it worth their while!

This is a very dangerous junction and needs some form of traffic control such as a roundabout.

This is a really dangerous turn, but there are no safer alternatives to get to the A41 without a considerable detour. Traffic lights or similar here would make it much safer.

A mini roundabout should solve the problem, with minimal expense or alteration to the junction.

As someone who has to use the next road down Glen Way with the same problems I would welcome traffic lights that would “pulse” the traffic on the Hempstead Road to create gaps to get out.

The junction is a nightmare and very very dangerous.

Far too many accidents and near misses at this busy junction. Serious life risk to pedestrians waiting at bus stop. Massive congestion at junction in peak hours. Turning right out of Courtlands Drive onto Hempstead Road is a hair raising experience and sometimes impossible.A simple mini roundabout would resolve the issue as Traffic Lights would be overkill.
