Relevant experience:
Throughout my career, I have always been a key point of contact and have developed good relationship management skills. In my current role, I have project management responsibilities - part of that means being very organised and also being diplomatic and culturally sensitive as our work is international. I began my career working at two of England’s biggest science festivals, which included creating events and being a part of the festival delivery team. I developed a keen interest in cultural events and an appreciation of what they bring to the local community. I hope to use that experience in Watford.
Why are you a Lib Dem?
Equality - to have a fair, free and open society. I believe this is incredibly important for an equitable, diverse and representative society.
Why do you want to be a councillor?
Since moving to Watford nearly four years ago, I have loved living here. It’s an incredible town to be a part of and I want to give back to my local community. I think being a councillor is a great way to do that, and to support a political party, whose values I believe strongly in.
What do you enjoy about living in Watford?
Watford, although close to London, has a vibrant and unique identity. There are so many amazing things, from the theatre to the green spaces - I really love Cassiobury Park and Whippendell woods. I also think the market is great, and a valuable amenity for Watford. I would like to build on what we have to make Watford even better.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Classic millennial - immersive experiences! I also love reading, gardening and visiting museums and National Trust properties and gardens.
