Cllr Sara Bedford is again pressing Herts County Council to improve a dangerous junction after another accident left a biker injured and unable to work for some time.
Local resident Jon Andrews was knocked off his motorbike after a car turned across him as he rode along Station Road by the junction with the Home Park Link Road. He was thrown several metres across the road, and left with an injured hand and on crutches.
Jon, who in his spare time organises charity bike rides to fund gifts for children in local hospitals, said, “This is a dangerous junction, where there are near misses every day. I was driving straight across the junction going north, when a car turned across me. I was lucky not to have been more badly injured”.
Sara said, “I have been calling for over a decade for a mini roundabout at this junction, to slow traffic and make turning in and out of the Home Park Link Road safer. Hertfordshire County Council have continued to refuse to make the necessary changes to the junction"
We the undersigned call on Hertfordshire County Council to improve the Station Road junction with Home Park Link Road.
