Footpath 30 Realigned 

Several residents have spoken to us about the difficulty they have climbing the very steep section of Footpath 30 where it crosses West Herts Golf Course. Just before Christmas, Cllr Peter Jeffree met with the WBC Parks Manager and HCC's Footpaths Officer to discuss the problem.

The Footpaths Officer identified straight away that the path had been wrongly signed. The correct alignment of the path should begin much closer to the canal bridge, so that the slope of the path is more gradual. He offered to organise a working party to clear debris from the original path alignment and to block off the incorrect steep section. This work has now been done.

Peter Jeffree says 'This simple change should resolve a long-standing problem and make the footpath much more accessible for all users.'
