Organised by Watford Borough Council many trees have recently been planted around Watford, and around Stanborough.

Leavesden Green Residents Association Thursday 23rd March - 6.30pm
The Leavesden Green Residents Association will hold their Annual General Meeting in the Main Hall at Leavesden Green Community Hub @ 6.30pm on Thursday 23rd March. The chair will brief on the activities the LGRA has undertaken since they formed last year, and expected activities for the coming year. The meeting will then be open to the floor for you to raise any local issues you wish for the committee to address. After the meeting you are invited to join us for an informal chat over a glass of wine & nibbles. If you live in the Leavesden Green area, please come along.

Biodiversity/Sustainability for our Verges
Cllr Tim Williams made enquiries to Herts County Council to increase biodiversity/sustainability on our verges on the A405 where safe to do so of course, however surprisingly Herts County Council said "no".

Lighting Result - A41 Footbridge
Further to local residents highlighting concerns regarding the lighting coming off the A41 footbridge on to Leggatts Rise Cllrs Tim Williams and Lenny Nembhard contacted Herts County Council on this. A great result achieved as Herts County Council will do the necessary to increase the lighting from the existing nearby light column and will also make sure it stays on overnight.

Oxhey Footbridge Update
County Cllr Stephen Giles-Medhurst has been on the case regarding the "temporary repairs" that were undertaken to the damage to the bridge back in March 2020. At last Network Rail have confirmed that they have agreed a plan for Herts County Council to replace the temporary boarding.

The aim is to make as many sick, disabled or children living in difficult circumstances extremely happy this Easter and Eid! The charities that have been chosen cover sick and disabled children as well as children in poverty. The aim is to make a huge difference this Eid/Easter.
