We were very lucky to have a visit from Jo Swinson, Lib Dem Minister of State for Women and Equalities, in February. She came to visit the Maternity visit at Watford Hospital.
Hertfordshire Conservative County Councillors have voted through a Council tax increase of 1.99%, the maximum they can increase the tax by without taking it to a county-wide referendum.
The decision of the Conservatives on Hertfordshire County Council to increase Council Tax by almost 2% is in sharp contrast to the two Liberal Democrat run councils in Hertfordshire - namely Three Rivers and Watford - which have yet again frozen council tax - in the case of Three Rivers for the 10th year running.
Despite the public still being 'consulted' until 10 April on proposed changes to county-funded bus services, which could see 39 bus routes cut and all services after 7,30pm abolished, the ruling Conservatives at County Hall have decided to include the proposed savings in their budget for this year.

totally). This especially affects the no 8 and 10 routes in Watford.
